Got a pitch or submission?
Green Living Insider does accept topical pitches and submissions. To be considered, any pitch must fit into one of our topic categories:
- Energy efficiency
- Sustainable living
- Solar energy solutions
- Recycling and waste reduction
- Green products and innovations
We write on GLI with an accessible voice. Our goal is not to talk down to the reader on complex subjects but to help them understand how small steps to live more green can make a significant difference.
A pitch should have a precise angle and, if possible, offer something new on the topic that isn’t already available elsewhere. That isn’t to say we won’t accept submissions on everyday issues, but unique pitches and submissions will always have a greater chance of success.
The writer is responsible for ensuring that all media and work they submit with their work is free and clear of copyright and does not infringe on others’ work.
The minimum word count is 600 words. However, most accepted pitches are longer than 1,000 words. We’ll also need a professional writer’s bio and headshot for your author page, which is set up with your first post.
Any submissions must be general and cannot promote a product to comply with FTC guidelines. Product promotions must be labeled Sponsored and are handled as advertising. Please note that our submission process is intended for individuals, not agencies or companies. Please use our contact form to get in touch.
Agencies and companies may contact us for rates regarding submissions.
